Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive music curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements such as singing, instrument playing, and music theory and implement this in a classroom setting.
- Deliver engaging lessons that motivate students to develop their musical abilities while fostering confidence and enjoyment, No matter their learning barriers or disability.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively by applying behavior management techniques and creating a positive learning environment
- Conduct individual tutoring sessions to support students’ personal musical goals and address specific needs
- Organize and prepare students for performances, recitals, or assessments that showcase their progress
- Incorporate diverse artistic disciplines such as theater, dance (including ballet and dancing), photography, sewing, or culinary arts into creative projects when appropriate to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and special education strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching music or related arts in classroom settings with strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of curriculum development principles for various educational levels including preschool, early childhood education, and adult education
- Ability to work effectively with children, students with special needs, or learners at different stages of childhood development
- Strong communication skills to engage students of all ages and backgrounds while fostering a supportive atmosphere
- Experience in behavior management strategies to maintain discipline while encouraging creativity
- Passion for working with students of all ages and an enthusiasm for promoting lifelong learning through music and arts-related activities
