The Department of Music at Wingate University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Clarinet beginning Fall 2026. This is a part-time position to teach applied clarinet lessons to music majors, minors, and non-majors, with emphasis in classical performance.
Responsibilities:- Teach individual clarinet lessons
- Support student development in technique, repertoire, and stylistic interpretation
- Prepare students for juries, recitals, studio classes, ensemble participation, and other performance requirements
- Collaborate with faculty and ensemble directors to align instruction with departmental and ensemble goals
Qualifications:- Master's degree in Clarinet, or a closely related field is required
- Demonstrated excellence as a performer
- Experience teaching at the collegiate or advanced pre-college level
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, including music majors, minors, and non-majors
