Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Church Pianist to commit to Sunday morning quick run through practice and playing during our 11 o'clock worship service as well as Sunday afternoon choir practice 3:30-5 with occasional accompanying singers, and longer rehearsals during special events.
Responsibilities
On Sunday mornings it will be your responsiblity to play for 10-15 minutes prior to services. As well as hymns and other music during worship service. On Sunday afternoons for choir practice and other special music accompanist as needed. You will also be working with the music director on various performances several times per year.
Requirements
- Proven proficiency in playing the piano with a strong understanding of musical theory and sight-reading skills
- Knowledge of various musical genres, especially traditional hymns and contemporary worship music
- Flexibility to adapt to different service formats and special event requirements
