Orchestra Teacher
The Academy at The PARC – Sebring, FL
The Academy at The PARC is seeking a passionate and engaging Orchestra Teacher to inspire students through music education and performance. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with students of varying skill levels and can help cultivate a love for music, creativity, and collaboration.
This position is ideal for experienced music educators as well as talented musicians who have practical orchestra or private lesson experience and are interested in teaching.
Responsibilities
- Teach orchestra classes and/or small group instruction
- Provide instruction in four-string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass)
- Incorporate music theory, technique, and performance skills into lessons
- Assist students in developing confidence, musicianship, and ensemble skills
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and school events
- Create a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in one of the following areas: teaching orchestra, providing private/group music instruction, and/or experience playing in an orchestra or ensemble
- Ability to instruct on four-string instruments, piano or voice skills
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for working with children and developing young musicians
- Bachelor’s degree in music education, music performance, or a related field; Master’s degree in a music related field is a plus
- State teaching certification is a plus
- Open to recent graduates
