God has used Stanford Baptist since 1851 to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus while growing its congregation in faith and love. Currently, we have a vacancy for our worship leader. He is remaining at our church until we can have a smooth transition with whom God brings to the ministry. Currently, we worship to contemporary music. From time to time, we sing a contemporary hymn and play the bells. We are looking for someone who will continue to lead our congregation in contemporary music in the same style you would find on K-LOVE or Air-1. We do not use monitors, but we do use in-ear and click tracts. We would prefer someone who can sing and play the keyboard or guitar. You would also be responsible for the Audio/visual team both in-house and online. God has provided state-of-the-art sound equipment for His church. Currently, we have a strong worship team, but you would be responsible for maintaining that team. You lead both Sundays and Wednesdays and are responsible for covering our conferences, whether that is you or someone else (you will work with the pastor on this).
Pay is negotiable with many variables. Typically, the Worship leader's rate of pay ranges from $15,000 to $20,000, depending on several factors. There is an optional co-leader option where we can bring in a paid co-leader under you, paying each co-leader from the same amount budgeted for that position.
Responsibilities (as listed)
- Lead music at all scheduled services.
- Plan worship services in conjunction with the Pastor.
- Praise-Worship Team practice or Direct Adult Choir.
- Act as a consultant for other music leaders, including handbells and children’s choir leaders.
- Plan and coordinate the music budget.
- Plan and lead the special music projects.
- Be responsible for having a musician at all church services, events, and conferences.
