We are seeking a music teacher for Glenn Public School, Michigan’s longest continuously run rural school. The music teacher will be responsible for designing and teaching a program that incorporates nature-based learning. The position is part-time for 4 hours a week during the school year.
Job Duties:

Create relevant lesson plans

Help students develop an understanding and appreciation of music

Plan instructional activities that include extension and enrichment of the curriculum, including field trips, use of community resources, hands-on activities, and visiting speakers

Utilize Nature Rich-based learning to create lesson plans

Demonstrate knowledge of the subject matter being taught

Prepare and deliver age-appropriate lessons

Communicate with parents and staff by utilizing email and the school newsletter

Other duties as required and approved by the administrator
Qualifications:

Have experience in music education or lessons

Teaching certificate
-
Be able to pass Criminal History Record Check
