Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and talented Part-Time Piano Accompanist to join our 11:00 AM Sunday Classical Service and midweek choir rehearsals. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional piano accompaniment for rehearsals, Sunday services and special events, helping artists and performers shine. Your energetic presence and musical expertise will contribute to creating memorable experiences for audiences and performers alike as you work with the music director and pastor.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with vocalists, instrumentalists, and performers to prepare for rehearsals and services.
- Provide professional piano accompaniment during live performances, and rehearsals
- Adapt to various musical styles and interpretative directions as required by director.
- Assist in tuning and maintaining the piano to ensure optimal sound quality for all events
- Support the artistic team by offering musical guidance and feedback as needed
- Attend scheduled rehearsals and services punctually, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
- Maintain a positive, energetic attitude that encourages performers and fosters a collaborative environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a piano accompanist or performer in service settings
- Strong proficiency in sight-reading, improvisation, and musical interpretation
- Knowledge of church service productions, including understanding of stage cues and timing
- Ability to adapt quickly to different musical styles and performance requirements
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with directors and choir performers.
Pay: $20.80 - $23.00 per hour
