As a Music Instructor you will be responsible for all music education-related elements within the lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience to ensure students are challenged and inspired. The Music Instructor positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helps our students learn music and life skills.
Music Instruction:
- Maximize the quality of music instruction through private lessons and show rehearsals
- Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs, using the School of Rock Method™
- Create and document thoughtful lesson plans using our patented teaching Method, Books and Method App
Customer Connection:
- Communicate with parents on the progress of students by creating quality lesson notes and assignments in the School of Rock Method App for at-home practice
- Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible while at the school
- Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program
- Assist in rehearsals and with the upkeep of lesson facilities school
Skill Requirements:
- 2 + years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
- Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
- Strong customer relations skills. Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers
- Strong organizational skills
- Resourceful; good problem-solver
- Works well under pressure
- Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
- Passion for teaching
TRAINING
Training can be completed remotely at your own pace, but must be completed by the deadline set by the Music Director. An in-person orientation, and additional training will also take place before your first day of lessons. All training will take approximately 6-8 hours to complete.
WORK HOURS & SCHEDULE
- School is open M-Th 1-9, some Saturdays
- Lessons are between 3-9
- Flexible with scheduling

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
