Overview
Hey, we're a small business making educational electronic musical instruments here in Charlottesville. You can learn more at microkits.net. We have a lot of ideas in our backlog, and the more makers we can find, the more we can create.
I (David, the founder) am an electrical engineer, but I have more ideas than time, especially since I need to run the other parts of my business. I'm thinking of structuring things as contract work, where I create a project for you to tackle.
Possible ways we can work together:
- Electronics: If you're an EE , we should talk! I have some clever analog circuits that need to be optimized.
- Firmware: I need help putting together an efficient audio player from external memory, and maybe setting up MIDI. We use STM32.
- Software: We want to prototype some of our ideas in software before building them in real life.
Who you are:
- You've built something cool before. Tell us about it!
- Experience with synthesizers or audio is a plus, but not necessary.
- Please, no excessive v!be-coding. I want to work with humans who understand what they're making.
