Responsibilities:
- Teach Music at various levels, including potentially orchestra, chorus, and band
- Develop and implement engaging, project-based music curriculum that integrates with other subjects.
- Foster a creative, supportive, and collaborative classroom environment.
- Guide students in developing their musical skills across areas such as vocal performance, instrumental music, music theory, and composition.
- Organize and direct school music programs, including concerts, ensembles, and performances.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain records.
- Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary planning and execution of projects.
- Stay current with trends in music education, project-based learning, and student-centered teaching strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.
- Active FL DOE Certification in Music Education.
- Experience in leading school music programs and performances is highly preferred.
