PT DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP & ARTS
Part-Time: 16 Hours/Week
Position Summary
The Director of Worship & Arts provides leadership for our worship ministry by building and equipping teams of musicians, vocalists, and technicians, planning engaging worship services, and creating Christ-centered, multicultural environments where people encounter God and respond in wholehearted worship. We desire our Sunday gatherings to be one of the most meaningful times of the week—a place where people experience God's presence, grow in their love for Jesus, and worship alongside people from diverse cultures and backgrounds as one body in Christ.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for the worship ministry.
- Recruit, audition, train, schedule, and shepherd musicians, vocalists, and production volunteers.
- Plan worship services alongside the Location Pastor, including song selection, service flow, Scripture, prayer, and other creative elements.
- Lead weekly rehearsals and provide worship leadership for Sunday services and occasional special gatherings (e.g., Christmas Eve, Good Friday, etc.).
- Coordinate worship ministry resources, including Planning Center, ProPresenter, presentation media, and other service elements.
- Help cultivate a welcoming, multicultural Sunday environment where guests and members are encouraged to worship, build community, and engage in the life of the church.
- Participate in staff meetings, support church-wide events, and collaborate with the Location Pastor.
- Commit to membership and actively engage in the life of Grace Madison.

- Organized, dependable, self-motivated, and an effective leader and communicator.
- Able to build healthy relationships with volunteers, staff, and congregation members while encouraging spiritual growth and teamwork.
- Excited to serve in a multicultural church and cultivate worship that reflects the diversity of God's Kingdom through a variety of musical styles, cultural expressions, and voices.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Competency leading worship with guitar and/or keyboard.
- Basic knowledge of sound, lighting, presentation software, and worship technology.
- Experience recruiting, building, and leading volunteer worship teams.
Worship Style
Our worship style is modern and multicultural, blending contemporary worship, gospel, hymns, and diverse global cultural expressions with thoughtful liturgical elements to reflect the diversity of God's Kingdom. Our repertoire includes songs from artists such as Elevation Worship, Phil Wickham, Maverick City Music, Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton, and others.

This position is accountable to and is supervised by Grace Madison’s Location Pastor.
