The annual pay range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $50,000-$55,000.

Position Description
Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an innovative K-5 Music Instructor & 5th Grade Piano Instructor (Class & Private Lessons) who will play a critical role in the Michigan International Prep School. This K-5 Music Instructor & 5th Grade Piano Instructor (Class & Private Lessons) will be part of a pioneering team that has created a never before seen encompassing online Arts program that draws out creative potential in students in the areas of Music, Art, and Theater. The successful candidate will be comfortable with productive change and embrace the opportunity to be part of a team reshaping the way students engage in and demonstrate learning. This position will report directly to the Director of the Arts.
Qualifications
● Current Michigan Music Teaching Certificate (JX or JQ). (Meeting Highly Qualified Status)
● Ability to handle multiple tasks at once in an effective
manner
● Ability to analyze curriculum in accordance with
established standards
● Knowledge of best practices in grading student work
● Works well with a team
● Very strong customer service skills and strong
communicator
● Maintain a positive “can do” attitude
● A pleasant personality and positive attitude toward working with administration, staff, and community members. Evidence of ability to establish working relationships that result in increased efficiency and effectiveness
● Expert knowledge in the use of assessment and
assessment data to implement them effectively

educational model for our students
● Be a self-starter and an independent thinker.
● Technological skills, computer knowledge and ability to
rapidly adapt to new technology (Chrome, Google, and
etc.).
● Demonstrate ability to plan and evaluate strategies for
improving instruction
Essential Duties
● Create and teach synchronous virtual curriculum under the guidance of the Director of the Arts for the following courses: K/1 Music, ⅔ Music, ⅘ Music
● Plan for and provide instruction for the 5th Grade Piano 1 class
● Provide 1on1 private instruction for each student in 5th Grade Piano 1 aligned with the established curriculum and practices
● Participate in weekly Arts department meetings and regular check ins with the Director of the Arts
● Monitor student progress weekly and help the student stay on track to complete the courses successfully and on time
● Develop trusting relationships with students assigned to the K-5 Music Instructor & 5th Grade Piano Instructor (Class & Private Lessons)
● Provide individual & small group instruction in person and online
● Monitor student progress weekly and help the student stay on track to
complete the course successfully and on time
● Develop and implement instructional programs in Employee’s areas of
expertise in accordance with the Educational Program established by the
Director Of The Arts
● Establish and communicate clear expectations and guidelines
● Ability to work with students virtually via: Google Meet and in person
● Establish rapport with students and encourage academic success
● Grade Daily Assignments and Tests and approve final grades
● Create a learning environment that is welcoming, supportive, and flexible
enough to meet individual student needs
● To be informed of all policies and procedures
● Apply approved techniques for the ongoing assessment of learning
● Carry out other duties and obligations that are determined to facilitate the school’s mission, goals, standards, and Education Program
● Employee must honor written Board Policies and Administrative Regulations
● Employee must be able to work from a designated Learning Lab as scheduled
● Employee must be able to stand for a minimum of 30 minutes at a time
● Employee must be able to lift 25lbs
● Employee must be able to move throughout the Learning Lab
● Employee must be able to sit in chair for long intervals
