Part-Time Theater & Music Teacher
Riley School seeks an experienced, innovative, and energetic teacher for our Theater and Music program beginning August 2024.
Work with children ages 5-14 in progressive, mixed-age classrooms. The successful candidate will have a passion for the performing arts, chorus, and band. Our school is composed of four classes of students: Early Childhood (ages 2-4), Lower School (5-7), Middle School (8-10), and Upper School (11-14) and this position spans all but our 2-3-year-olds.
This position can be constructed around the ideal candidate and could be between 15 to 30 hours per week.
Part of the beauty of our program is is our 21-acre campus and its fields, woods, pond, stream, and ocean access. We support outdoor education and encourage our faculty to make the most of our campus at their discretion and convenience, depending upon what's happening that day.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Developing and implementing programming for students in small groups
- Assisting students in successful learning by providing regular guidance, mentoring, and support
- Providing ongoing feedback and assessment of a child’s academic and personal growth
- Capturing student progress in meaningful ways that tell the story of that child's school experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working with young children
- Understanding of Progressive learning theory and practice
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (if not currently certified, can complete once hired)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
