About the Role
Love music, people, and a great celebration? Matt’s DJ Service is looking for dependable, coachable, and personable people to join our wedding and special-event DJ team. Our DJs are part entertainer, part event guide, and part problem-solver—mixing music, making announcements, working with vendors, and keeping the night moving.
No professional DJ experience? No problem. We provide hands-on training for candidates who bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
Prepare for weddings and special events using client details, timelines, and company procedures.
Transport, set up, operate, and tear down professional sound and lighting equipment.
Select and mix music, read the crowd, take appropriate requests, and keep the dance floor moving.
Make clear announcements and serve as an event MC.
Coordinate professionally with clients, venue staff, photographers, planners, and vendors.
Handle changes or basic technical issues calmly while representing Matt’s DJ Service professionally and caring for company equipment.
What We’re Looking For
Dependable, punctual, personable, and comfortable receiving coaching and feedback.
No DJ experience required—just an interest in music, entertainment, customer service, and learning.
Comfortable speaking with clients and guests and willing to develop microphone and MC skills.
Comfortable learning DJ equipment, software, music selection, mixing, and troubleshooting.
Responsive to work messages and willing to follow company standards for appearance, communication, music, equipment care, and event procedures.
Schedule, Travel & Physical Requirements
Available for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday events—including evenings, late nights, and assignments scheduled with advance notice.
Willing to travel, with reliable transportation and access to a vehicle capable of carrying DJ equipment.
Able to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to approximately 80 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Comfortable standing and remaining active for several hours at indoor or outdoor venues.
