Purpose
We are seeking a Parish Musician who will bring fresh creativity and passion to our music program.
Responsibilities
+ Liturgical Music: Lead the congregation in song from the Episcopal Hymnal 1982, LEVAS II, and other Episcopal music resources. Prepare a prelude and postlude. Play weekly for the 10:00 am Sunday liturgy and major Feasts of the Church (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Holy Week, and Easter.)
+ Staff Meetings: Attend occasional staff meetings. Choose hymns and service music in collaboration with the Rector.
+ Cultivation: Explore new ways in which music might become a greater part of our parish life, including new liturgical musical expressions and styles.
+ Other Duties: Accompany weddings and funerals for additional compensation (or arrange for substitute.)

+ Passion for God, music and people of all ages.
+ Skilled musicianship including organ, piano, and vocal abilities.
+ Familiarity with formal liturgical structures.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Compensation
Salary commensurate with experience. Four weeks of annual vacation.
