About
I am a violinist, violist, and educator with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Iowa, where I served as Concertmaster of the Center for New Music and won the 2024 Concerto Competition performing the Sibelius Violin Concerto. I also hold a Master of Arts from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where I studied historically informed performance, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. My performing experience spans orchestral, chamber, and solo contexts across the United States, Europe, and Asia, with a sustained commitment to new music reflected in numerous world premieres and ongoing recording projects. As a teacher, my approach is rooted in student-centered dialogue, physical awareness, and the development of independent musicianship, and I have worked with students at the pre-college and collegiate levels in both the United States and Estonia. I am also a committed advocate for community engagement and outreach as essential components of a musician's development.
