What You’ll Do as an Acorn to Oak Teacher

Create a safe, loving, and engaging child care environment in classrooms for children aged 3 months–5 years old
Design and implement age-appropriate, play-based curriculum focused on creativity, nature, and emergent interests
Foster meaningful relationships with children and families, supporting each child’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth
Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrative staff to maintain a consistent, high-quality learning environment
Keep your classroom clean, organized, and inviting
Participate fully in the rhythm of the day—circle time, transitions, outdoor exploration, meals, naps, and more

Qualifications – What You Bring to the Team
Required:

12+ Early Childhood Education units (must include Infant/Toddler Development, Child, Family & Community, and Curriculum)
At least 6 months of experience in a licensed child care or daycare setting
Criminal Record Clearance & Mandated Reporter Certificate
Current health screening, TB clearance, and immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Flu)
Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, kneel, bend, and actively play with children throughout the day

Preferred:

AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field
2+ years of experience as a preschool teacher or daycare teacher in a licensed child care program
