The Music Minister plays a vital role in the spiritual life of the community, responsible for leading and enhancing worship through music. The Music Minister will collaborate with church leadership to develop a vibrant music program that aligns with the mission and vision of the church.
Duties
- Lead congregational singing during worship services, ensuring an engaging and uplifting experience.
- Organize and direct choirs, ensembles, and other musical groups within the church.
- Educate members on musical techniques, theory, and the importance of music in worship.
- Plan and coordinate special music events, including seasonal celebrations and community outreach programs.
- Mentor musicians of all skill levels, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their musical abilities.
- Communicate effectively with church leadership regarding music selection, program development, and any needs for resources or support.
- Collaborate with other ministries to integrate music into various church activities and events.
Experience
- Proven experience in music ministry or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire others.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse groups within the congregation.
- A background in music education or performance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various musical styles and traditions that resonate within a worship context.
