Position Information
Part-time Faculty: Music Education Instructor
Job Summary:
The Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Minot State University (https://www.minotstateu.edu/music/) invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Music Education Instructor beginning Fall Semester 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach MUSC 392: Elementary Music Methods and supervise the corresponding lab/practicum (MUSC 397)
- Maintain up-to-date gradebook and meet all university grading deadlines
Possible Additional Duties:
- Observe/supervise student teachers during elementary placements
- Teach additional music/music education courses within candidate's area of expertise
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Music (at least one degree in music education)
- Evidence of successful experience as an elementary/general music teacher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Master's Degree in Music Education
- Previous college teaching experience
