Plymouth Congregational Church seeks an accompanist to play either our Baldwin piano and Viscount 4 manual hybrid organ. We are located in the heart of New Hampshire in the University town of Plymouth, NH.
The ideal candidate is familiar with church music, has good communication skills and works well with people of all ages. This individual will work closely with the Director of Music, Pastor, office administrator, and music committee
Duties to include:
● Select, prepare and play prelude, postlude, and communion music (once a month). Service music consists of three hymns (selected by the pastor/music director) and choral music (selected by the Director of Music) including an introit, offertory anthem, and benediction response. During the summer months there is no choir so no choral music.
● Provide music for special services throughout the year including, but not limited to, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday
● Accompany choir rehearsals on Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm, September to mid June. The choir also rehearses 8:30-9:10 am, before the 9:30 Sunday service
● The accompanist has the Right of first refusal for funerals and weddings for additional compensation.
● Accompany any soloists (vocal or instrumental) as needed for services
● Attend monthly music committee meetings during the regular church season (September- mid June).
● Compensation: up to $15,000.00 depending on experience for the regular church season, and $150.00 for each summer Sunday service played.

Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with church staff and congregation members
- Proficiency in piano or organ performance, with experience in accompanying choirs and soloists
- Background in theater or performance arts is a plus, enhancing musical interpretation and presentation
- Ability to adapt to various musical styles and genres as required by church services
- Experience in providing musical support during worship services and special events
