The Special Treatment Unit, a 500-bed secured forensic facility located in Avenel, NJ, with inpatient units designed to treat adult males who have been civilly committed under the NJ Sexually Violent Predator’s Act.
Under the direction of a supervisory officer, the Therapist assists in the design, oversight and implementation of a program of music therapy.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in Music, Music Therapy or Music Education.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of professional experience in a music therapy program.
NOTE: A Master's degree in Music Therapy, Creative Music Therapy or Music Education with a specialization in Music Therapy may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
