Job Overview
We are seeking a fun, energetic Music Teacher to lead interactive, play-based music classes for young children. The ideal candidate loves working with kids and uses music, movement, and rhythm to create a joyful learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging music classes for children ages 0–6
- Introduce basic musical concepts through songs, rhythm, movement, and play
- Use age-appropriate instruments (shakers, drums, bells, etc.)
- Encourage participation, confidence, and creativity
- Set up and clean up instruments and materials
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate with parents and Hoboken Hideout staff as needed
Qualifications
- Experience teaching music and/or working with young children
- Musical background (voice, instruments, early childhood music, or similar)
- Energetic, patient, and reliable
- Comfortable leading small groups of young children
- Early childhood education experience a plus (not required)
