Ramblin’ Dan’s Freewheelin’ Band is seeking professional guitarists who sing lead vocals to perform high-energy music classes for young children and their families throughout NYC.
This is not a traditional teaching job. It is a performance-based role. Think frontperson energy, strong rhythm guitar, and real crowd engagement — just with a much more adorable audience.
About the Role
- Lead 45-minute high-energy music classes and birthday parties
- Perform for children ages 0–4 with caregivers present
- Blend classic kids songs with family-friendly rock/pop
- Daytime hours only
- Consistent weekly schedule available
We are a team of full-time musicians, Broadway performers, and working artists. This role is designed to support your creative life outside the job.
Compensation
- Starting at $60+/hour
- $1,000+/week possible within a few months of training
- All daytime work – evenings always free for other gigs!
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Strong guitar skills (tight rhythm, confident strumming)
- Clear, strong lead vocals
- Significant live performance experience (non-negotiable)
- Charismatic, engaging stage presence
- Reliable, punctual, professional
- Comfortable working with young children
- Willing to complete background check
Bonus Skills:
- Piano or drum proficiency
- Teaching or early childhood experience
