Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music invites applications for a full-time, continuing-track position in Music Technology at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice, to begin August 16, 2026.
The Blair School seeks a dedicated classroom pedagogue and artist with a primary focus on the creative use of music technology. Background and teaching effectiveness required across components of music technology, including DAWs, DSP, synthesis, AI Music, coded environments, and notation software. The successful candidate will be expected to design and lead undergraduate courses for music majors, composition majors, and non-music majors. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain computer music studio hardware and software.
The initial appointment term is three years, open to renewal and promotion according to School and University guidelines.
Qualifications:
An advanced degree in music technology, computer music, or composing for media is preferred; candidates with equivalent professional experience will be considered.
