DescriptionThe Amherst College Department of Music invites applications for a full-time, three-year visiting appointment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor, from artist-scholars whose work centers on the compositional and social dimensions of digital audio production and studio practices in popular music. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2026. The teaching load is two courses per semester, and, in addition, the candidate may be asked to advise senior theses. The successful candidate should have a terminal degree in their field or equivalent professional experience. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $75,000 to $115,000. The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations.
