Job Description:
The University of Northern Iowa's School of Music seeks applications for a two-year term Assistant Professor of Instruction in Applied Voice, starting in August 2026. After the conclusion of the two-year term, the position may be considered for renewal. Responsibilities include teaching applied voice lessons to undergraduate vocal music majors, graduate vocal music majors, and undergraduate non-majors; teaching studio class and seminar; participating in departmental service responsibilities as required; and recruiting music majors into the music program. Additional teaching assignments will depend upon departmental need and area(s) of expertise.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in vocal music performance or closely related field; and successful college-level teaching experience of applied voice lessons required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in vocal music performance or closely related field; and at least three years of successful college-level teaching of applied voice lessons preferred.
