The Academy of Music is the largest professional music lesson studio in West Michigan. We offer private lessons for piano, voice & singing, electric, acoustic, and bass guitar, ukulele, drums, violin, viola and cello. In addition, we offer an introduction to musical theatre group class. Nationally recognized for Music Academy Success and voted #1 Music Lesson Studio by Grand Rapids Kids (grkids.com).
The Academy of Music is hiring qualified music teachers for piano, voice, guitar, drums, and strings at both their Jenison and Grand Rapids locations. A college degree in music is NOT required. Performance and teaching experience is helpful. A warm and friendly personality is important.
Music Teacher Responsibilities:
- teach weekly private music lessons
- teach 1-2 group make-up classes each year
- prepare students for attend annual winter and spring recitals
- prepare recorded lessons or teach live video lessons when students request them
Music Teacher Requirements:
- great with kids
- excellent communication skills
- punctual
- ability to demonstrate and explain instrument specific proficiencies
- organized

Part-Time
$25 hr
Must be able to teach teach in-person.
