Join our vibrant team here at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) as a Worship Technology Supervisor and lead the charge in creating an engaging, seamless worship experience through innovative technology solutions. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the planning, setup, and operation of audio, video, and multimedia systems during worship services and special events. Your leadership will ensure that technical elements enhance the spiritual atmosphere while maintaining smooth and reliable operations. Duties
- Ensure that every worship service/ special event in the FUMC Sanctuary is vibrant, distraction free, and technically well-supported.
- Recruit, train, equip, schedule and lead video and sound volunteers for worship and large events. Step in to perform these duties in cases of unexpected absence.
- Ensure the effectiveness of our morning worship livestream and respond to concerns in real time.
- Enhance, edit, title, upload, and otherwise manage videos for public viewing on YouTube, Facebook, Cable TV or other platforms.
Skills
- Must support the ministry of FUMC. Individual commitment to Christ will be evidenced in his/her personal life and relationships.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring volunteers or team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with worship teams, staff, and volunteers.
- Highly reliable and always on time for scheduled events.
- Deep understanding of audio, video, lighting, and multimedia technology used in worship settings.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Passion for serving others through technology while maintaining a positive attitude.
