World Academy is currently seeking an innovative and passionate K-8 Music Educator for the 2026–2027 school year. This position serves students in grades K-8 and could include instrumental and/or vocal instruction, general music, chorus direction, band involvement and performance-based coursework. The Music Educator will play a central role in cultivating a vibrant arts culture within the school community.
Applicants must be able to instruct and inspire students, ensuring that each individual is provided with the musical knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to become successful, contributing global citizens and lifelong learners.
The ideal candidate will be a leader in music education with a deep commitment to student engagement and artistic growth. The Music Educator will be responsible for delivering instruction that enhances creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and musical literacy, while contributing to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences within a safe and supportive environment. The individual must value diversity and respect for all.
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree and possess (or be certifiable) a valid NH or MA teacher certification (or certification from a state with recognized reciprocity) in Music Education or Elementary Education with a music specialization or related advanced degree.
Responsibilities include, but is not limited to:
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with teachers, students, and parents
- Designing and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction for grades K-8
- Directing chorus and coordinating performances, concerts, and school-wide events
- Demonstrating knowledge of 21st-century learning instructional techniques
- Adapting instruction to meet diverse learning styles and student needs
- Creating curriculum and learning experiences aligned with instructional objectives and project based learning.
- Effectively integrating technology and interdisciplinary connections into music instruction
- Implementing proactive and positive behavior management strategies
