About the Role
Shining Star Music Academy is a fast-growing music school serving families across the United States through online and in-home lessons.
We are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and people-focused Scheduling Manager & Teacher Support Lead to oversee our scheduling team, support hiring processes, mentor teachers, and help ensure families receive an outstanding experience.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys guiding others, solving complex scheduling challenges, and helping teams succeed.
Work Schedule
This is a salaried exempt leadership position.
Typical working hours align with our operations team: Monday–Friday, generally between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
However, this role requires flexibility and ownership. You will be expected to ensure responsibilities are completed and support urgent needs when they arise, including occasional work outside typical hours.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Scheduling Oversight
- Supervise and support scheduling coordinators Monitor scheduling efficiency and response times Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback Lead daily and weekly scheduling meetings Improve systems and workflows as the organization grows
Teacher Support & Mentorship
- Support teacher onboarding and early success Provide guidance on communication and scheduling matters Help resolve teacher concerns professionally Promote strong teacher engagement and retention
Hiring & Onboarding Support
- Assist with recruiting logistics and hiring coordination Support screening and interview scheduling Help ensure smooth onboarding of new teachers Collaborate with leadership on staffing needs
Customer Experience Support
- Assist with resolving escalated parent concerns Support customer service during high-volume periods Maintain warm, professional communication standards

RequirementsMusic Teaching Background (Required)
Must have experience teaching music or working in a music education environment.
Leadership Experience
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or managing others required Strong coaching and conflict-resolution skills
Organization & Communication
- Highly organized and detail-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities
Technical Requirements
- Reliable high-speed internet Comfortable with Zoom, Google Workspace, and Project Management Software Quiet professional workspace

Work Location: Remote
