With us, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Earn excellent pay instructing TK-5th students in a group lesson setting at various public schools on introductory rhythmic and melodic lessons in Hawthorne public school sites.
- Guide and manage groups of young preschool to elementary students.
- Develop and exercise effective classroom control techniques.
- Lead your classroom in demonstrating their newfound skills through culminating, end of programming showcase performances.
- Follow our creative lesson plans, while getting the chance to design your own that engage students and establish clear learning goals.

- Successful completion of a Livescan DOJ/FBI background check and TB test.

Compensation: Starts at $55-$60/hour DOE for instruction time. Training sessions and other non- instructional responsibilities will be paid at $25/hour.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 12-17 hours/week. Availability during school time hours (8:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.) is required.
Experience: At least (2) years of prior teaching experience required with children ages 4-10 is required. Must be able to effectively play + teach basic rhythmic and melodic concepts using percussion, keyboard and recorder. Proficiency on other instruments is a plus.
Note: Experience in special education, childhood development, preschool, early childhood education, behavior management, tutoring is a plus, but not required.
