Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the musical vision for worship services, special events, and community outreach programs
- Lead rehearsals and coordinate performances with choir members, instrumentalists, and guest artists
- Provide mentorship and training to emerging musicians and volunteers to enhance their skills
- Collaborate with pastoral staff and event planners to select appropriate music that aligns with thematic messages
- Support bereavement support initiatives through meaningful musical expressions
- Facilitate effective communication among team members to ensure seamless execution of all musical activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Music Director or similar leadership role in a church or community setting
- Strong knowledge of diverse musical genres
- Excellent communication skills to engage with choir members, volunteers, children, and community partners
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a talent for mentoring and inspiring others
- Experience in event planning and organizing large-scale performances or services
- Background in teaching music or conducting choir rehearsals effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
