About Us
From our Cornerstone Statement: Good Shepherd United Church of Christ is an open and affirming congregation deeply committed to seeking and learning together on the journey we share. We strive to embody God’s unconditional love and acceptance of others made real in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Communal worship is foundational to our life of faith and witness in the community, and music is an integral part of our worship experience. Congregational song is a form of prayer, contributes to faith formation, and serves as one way to respond to God’s call to follow Jesus. We use language with expansive imagery for God and strive to be as inclusive as possible in language referring to humanity. As a theologically moderate to progressive congregation, we are committed to caring for and serving one another, as well as advocating for justice in the wider community. Our worship and music reflect these priorities and beliefs.
