Piano Teacher – Central & South Austin (Part Time)
$46–$48 per hour | Flexible Schedule | In-Home Lessons
Harmony is a well-established, growing music studio in Austin with over 15 years of experience. We are seeking a warm, reliable, and skilled piano teacher to join our team serving Central and South Austin.
This position is ideal for teachers who love working with children and want to focus on teaching—not administration. The studio provides curriculum, training, scheduling, billing, and marketing support so instructors can focus on teaching.
What You’ll Do
- Teach in-home piano lessons to students ages 5 and up
- Use studio-provided curriculum and resources to deliver engaging lessons
- Adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress
- Prepare students for studio recitals and attend recitals
Schedule & Location
- Part-time (with potential to grow)
- Prefer availability 2–3 weekday afternoons/evenings per week
- Teaching days are grouped by area (Central Austin on some days, South Austin on others — no cross-city travel in a single day)
- Must have reliable transportation
Pay & Position Details
- $46–$48 per hour, based on experience and education
- Part-time, contract position
- Flexible scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Proficient piano skills (video submission or audition required)
- Fluent ability to read and sight-read standard piano notation
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children
- Located in Austin or planning to relocate
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in music
- Experience teaching piano to children
