Shining Star Music Academy is currently hiring music teachers in the South Orlando area (Kissimmee, Lake Nona, Southchase) to help meet growing demand. We provide in-home lessons, and our team handles all scheduling, communication, and admin so you can focus on what you love—teaching music.
We have openings for teachers, especially during weekday morning, afternoon, or evening hours. You’ll be joining a passionate team of educators committed to quality instruction and joyful learning experiences.
We are anticipating over 800 students this semester, and this is a great time to come on board!
Job Type:
- Part-time
- Hours flexible to work with your availability and total hours desired to work
- Start Date: 2026 Summer or Fall Semester (June/August Start)
- Compensation: $29.50–$33.00 per teaching hour, plus $14.00/hour for driving time (between first and last lesson)
- Work Location: On the road
Minimum Requirements (Please do not apply if you do not meet all):
- Music lesson experience as a student (private lessons and performance)
- Live locally in or near Orlando, FL
- Willing to teach at least 2 hours per week
- Reliable vehicle
- Commitment to pursuing excellence in your instrument(s)
- Performance experience
- Self-directed and responsible
- Punctual and professional
- Passion for sharing music
- Flexible and student-centered teaching style
Also Desired (Not Required):
- Experience teaching any subject
- Experience working with children

- Which area of Orlando, Florida do you live in ? (We don't currently consider teachers who live outside of this area, as the commute isn't ideal in a driving job)

- Most of our students are piano students. If your primary instrument is not piano but have had classes or lessons in piano yourself as a student, would you be comfortable teaching beginner level piano to young children? (We can provide additional training for this as long as you have had some experience learning piano before)
