Position End Date: Position Summary:Central Michigan University School of Music seeks a Lecturer of Music Theatre Applied Voice. This is a full-time, 9-month, fixed-term appointment, which may be renewable. Duties include teaching undergraduate students who are preparing for professional careers in singing in all genres of the music industry musical theatre, commercial voice, classical, pop, and rock. The ideal candidate will be proficient in healthy vocal pedagogy techniques for belting and mixing in addition to standard vocal techniques. Additional responsibilities may include classroom assignments made based on the strengths of the candidate and the needs of the School of Music.
NOTE: Central Michigan University School of Music is also seeking a part-time .75 FTE Lecturer of Music Theatre Applied Voice. - Outstanding performance skills.
- Successful music theatre experience.
- College teaching experience.
- Ability to teach applied voice to students pursuing all genres of the vocal profession: musical theatre, commercial voice, classical, pop, and rock.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
