Organist Position Description
Reports to: Director of Music and is accountable to the Pastor/Head of Staff through the Personnel Committee
Status: Part-Time (5 hrs/week)
Job Summary
The Organist serves as organist on Sunday mornings during the church worship service and for other special services throughout the year. The organist has right of first refusal to play at weddings and funerals. The church owns a Viscount Vero 377 Digital Organ that was custom made in Italy in 2025.
Essential Functions:
- Plays organ for Sunday morning church worship service.
- Collaborates with Director of Music and Accompanist on what to play and when.
- Plays organ for weddings and funerals.
Other Responsibilities:
- Enhances Sunday morning worship musically as requested by the Director of Music.
- Accompanies special musical programs during Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter seasons.
- Adheres to all PPC personnel policies, including policies related to safe church.
