Front Desk Agent – Full-Time or Part-Time

We’re looking for an energetic, music-loving Front Desk Agent to join our one-of-a-kind music-themed hotel/hostel and support our rehearsal studios!

About the Role
You’ll be the friendly face of our vibrant hospitality + music complex — greeting guests, checking them in/out, assisting with rehearsal rooms, handling reservations, and making sure every musician, traveler, and music fan leaves smiling. Expect variety, great energy, and the chance to grow with us as we rebrand to The Star Machine!
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Warmly welcome guests and provide exceptional service with San Francisco Bay Area recommendations
- Efficient check-ins/outs, reservations, and online travel agency coordination
- Help with luggage on our staircase and keep rehearsal rooms tidy between sessions
- Handle guest inquiries, retail sales, instrument rentals, and basic office tasks
- Log maintenance needs, document feedback, and creatively solve problems on the fly
- Enforce policies while keeping the rock ’n’ roll spirit alive
What We’re Looking For
- Outgoing, customer-obsessed personality with a genuine love for hospitality and music
- Flexible schedule — nights, weekends, and holidays are a must
- Sales skills and experience with billing/invoicing preferred
- Knowledge of musical instruments & audio gear is a definite plus!
- Reliable, self-starter who stays cool under pressure and takes initiative
- Strong communication skills (written + verbal) and computer proficiency (MS Office, GSuite)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and navigate stairs regularly
- High School Diploma required; previous hotel/hostel or front desk experience a bonus but not mandatory
- Multi-lingual? Even better!
