Brooklyn Music Kitchen is seeking an energetic and proactive Talent Booking Agent to join our vibrant Brooklyn-based music venue. In this dynamic role, you will be the driving force behind securing top-tier talent, managing artist relationships, and orchestrating unforgettable live performances. Your passion for music, and talent management expertise will help elevate our venue’s reputation as a premier destination for live entertainment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the musical landscape of Brooklyn while working in a lively, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible to vet and book bands / artists who have submitted their promotional materials to Brooklyn Music Kitchen. Scope of work includes corresponding with artists by phone, text and email, responding to artist requests to perform, managing and performing all due diligence on artists fan base number, and expected turnout for each show. Responsibilities
- Manage the booking process for talent, including scheduling and client communication.
- Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities for talent placement.
Skills
- Knowledge of social media marketing and management techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Duties
- Identify and book talented artists, bands, and performers that align with the venue’s brand and audience preferences
- Cultivate strong relationships with artists, managers, booking agencies, and other industry contacts to facilitate seamless bookings
- Oversee talent acquisition efforts by recruiting new acts and expanding the venue’s network of performers
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies that maximize ticket sales and audience engagement
Experience
- Proven experience working as a talent agent or booking agent within the music or entertainment industry
- Strong background in social media management and social media marketing to effectively promote events
- Demonstrated success in talent booking processes
- Knowledge of the local music scene in Brooklyn
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to build lasting professional relationships
