Position Summary:
Simpson College is seeking qualified and passionate educators for part-timeAdjunct Faculty positions in Applied Music. We are currently hiring specialists in voice to provide individualized and/or group instructionto music majors and non-majors. These positions are ideal for professional musicians and educators who are committed to student success andartistic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide applied instruction in voice for majors and non-majors
- Prepare and deliver course materials, including syllabi
- Evaluate student progress through performances, assignments,and assessments.
- Offer constructive feedback and mentorship to students.
- Participate in departmentaljuries and recitals.
- Maintain professional standards in teaching and musicianship.
Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Music or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in vocal performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Abilityto work effectively with a diverse student population.
Preferred Qualifications: - College-level teachingexperience.
- Active performance career or professional experience in art song and opera, with familiarity with musicaltheatre.
- Familiarity with digital tools for music instruction
