About TDB Sound
TDB Sound is an independent music division focused on discovering, developing, and amplifying the next generation of artists. We are building a forward-thinking label ecosystem centered around creativity, technology, artist growth, and long-term career development.
We are seeking a Head of A&R to lead our artist discovery and development efforts. This person will be responsible for identifying emerging talent, building relationships with artists and creators, and helping shape the future sound and roster of TDB Sound.
Responsibilities
Discover and scout emerging artists, producers, songwriters, and creative talent
Build and maintain relationships with artists, managers, producers, engineers, and industry professionals
Evaluate music, branding, audience growth, and commercial potential of talent
Lead artist acquisition and signing recommendations
Develop long-term growth strategies for artists on the TDB Sound roster
Provide creative direction on music, releases, collaborations, and overall artist identity
Coordinate with marketing, production, and media teams to execute artist campaigns
Identify trends in music culture, social media, streaming platforms, and fan engagement
Attend showcases, online communities, events, and industry spaces to discover talent
Help build the overall creative vision and identity of TDB Sound
Qualifications:
Proven experience in A&R, artist management, music marketing, label operations, or talent scouting
Strong understanding of current music trends and digital music platforms
Deep knowledge of artist development and building fan communities
Strong industry relationships and networking ability
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to identify unique talent and commercial opportunities
Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently
Preferred Experience:
Experience discovering or developing successful artists
Experience working with independent artists or labels
Understanding of streaming analytics, social media growth, and digital marketing
Knowledge of recording, production, and release processes
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience and may include salary, commission, performance incentives, and opportunities for growth within TDB Sound.
