PART TIME FEMALE VOCALIST for PRAISE BAND and CHANCEL CHOIR
Seeking an excellent female vocalist with strong Christian faith to be part of leading worship in a small but dynamic Presbyterian Church in Mountain View, CA. In every worship service, we incorporate traditional Christian hymns and anthems alongside contemporary Christian praise songs. We are seeking someone who can lead in both styles of worship – contemporary (serving as Co-Worship Leader with the Praise Band) and traditional (serving as Axlto Section Leader with the Choir).
Vocal range: ALTO (audition and/or video of singing will be required).
Instruments: Though not required for this position, proficiency on an instrument is a plus.
Time requirement:
· Every Sunday 9:00am – 12:30pm (includes weekly rehearsal time with Praise Band)
· Choir Rehearsals – Thursday evenings 7:00–8:30 pm
o NOTE: Choir is off from mid-June to end of August. Average weekly time is reduced by 1.5 hrs during this summer season.
· Annual Special Services and related dress rehearsals, e.g. Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter, and memorials (if requested).
Compensation:
· $35/ hour – average of 5 hours per week plus special services/rehearsals (see above)
· Sick/ Personal leave accrues at the rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours of work.
Proximity to Mountain View, CA is crucial for this position, as no mileage or relocation is included.
