Overview
We are seeking a passionate Music Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in utilizing music as a therapeutic tool to address various physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct music therapy sessions for individuals and groups in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, behavioral health facilities, hospice care, and dementia care units
- Develop and implement music therapy treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client
- Utilize dance therapy techniques in conjunction with music therapy interventions
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and progress notes for each therapy session
- Work with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and other special needs to improve their quality of life through music therapy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy or related field
- Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC)
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and hospice or dementia care
- Proficiency in coding for medical billing purposes is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,355.00 - $63,720.00 per year
