Job Overview
Sycamore Presbyterian Church is seeking a talented Worship Leader/Guitarist to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead our congregation in the musical portions of Christian worship and singing, and work collaboratively with the pastoral staff to create a spiritually uplifting experience through music. They will also collaborate in vision casting short- and long-term goals for the modern service as it evolves to meet the needs of the communities SPC is called to serve.
Duties
- Collaborate and plan with the Lead Pastor, Associate Pastor, Director of Music, Church Administrator, and other musicians
- Schedule and lead rehearsals for the modern worship services
- Lead and direct musical portions of regular and special worship services, including pre-service walkthroughs and sound checks to ensure quality musical presentation
- Work with the Director of Music, order music, and schedule musicians and vocalists as needed
- Communicate and work with the media team and audio/visual staff for alignment of music and congregational singing.

Requirements
A high school diploma is required. The preferred candidate will have a BA or BS degree with demonstrated experience in leading and working with musicians and vocalists. Guitar performance experience is required. The incumbent will be expected to pass a criminal background check before a contract for services will be mutually agreed upon.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 15 per week
