Overview: RiverFront Studios, a studio for art classes and music lessons, is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Art Assistant to support our instructors and enhance the experience of students and visitors.
The Art Assistant will play a crucial role in preparing materials, organizing supplies, and ensuring our studio is welcoming and creatively inspiring. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about art and interested in gaining experience in a dynamic studio environment. Responsibilities:
- Project Preparation: Assist with art class preparations by cutting, tracing, and assembling pieces and parts needed for projects.
- Organization: Maintain a well-organized and stocked supply area, ensuring all art materials are easy to access and available for classes.
- Studio Clean-Up: Support instructors with end-of-class clean-up, keeping the studio tidy and ready for the next class.
- Signage & Decoration: Create studio signage and assist with holiday window designs and decorations to enhance the studio's welcoming atmosphere.
- Digital Design: Help develop engaging social media content using Canva to promote upcoming events and classes.
- Customer Service: Answer phones, greet customers, provide information about classes and schedules, and address general inquiries with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Requirements:
- Artistic Interest/Background: An interest in art and creativity is essential; previous experience in art is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to keep materials and supplies organized and accessible.
- Communication Skills: Friendly and professional in customer interactions, both in person and over the phone.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in cutting, tracing, and assembling project components.
- Adaptability: Willingness to assist in various tasks as needed to support the team and studio environment.
