Audition Requirements

For chorus auditions please prepare two contrasting selections in their original languages.
For mainstage auditions please prepare five contrasting selections in their original languages.

Engagement Details

Company: Cincinnati Opera
Location: Cincinnati, OH USA
Term: 2024 Summer Festival • May 20, 2024-July 28, 2024 (Including, but not limited to, Opera in the Park and three mainstage opera productions. The final season details along with available roles will be announced by the time of auditions. The majority of the season will most likely be in Italian.)

Program Information

The Cincinnati Opera Chorus and Mainstage roles are paid, professional engagements under the jurisdiction of AGMA, the American Guild of Musical Artists.
Rehearsals for the 2024 Summer Festival will begin May 20, 2024 and run through July 28th, 2024.
Compensation is provided per the hourly and performance rates outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with AGMA. Mainstage contracts are negotiated on either a weekly or per performance basis.

Notes

We are opening dates in new locations in an effort to be more inclusive of those who live outside of the Cincinnati region. Please select the location most convenient for you. Singers from outside the Greater Cincinnati region are welcome and encouraged to audition, however, applicants should be aware that most chorus members and smaller mainstage roles tend to be cast locally.
