STAFF SUPPORT/ADMIN TEAM: Job Posting for Director of Music Ministries

Trinity Lutheran Church is seeking an enthusiastic and talented musician to be the Director of Music Ministries. The director will provide accompaniment on organ or piano for all primary worship services and special events (Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.); direct, or supervise the direction of, all musical groups; work with the Senior Pastor and the Worship Planning Team to provide music and creative elements for all worship services; provide brief musical instruction for preschool students weekly; and actively recruit congregational members to utilize their gifts to enhance the worship life of the congregation. A detailed job description can be provided upon request.

A degree in music or music education would be preferred, though it is not required. Experience leading worship services, in particularly liturgical ones, is a preferred work background. Experience leading musical groups and choruses is necessary. An ideal candidate will have excellent personal and group communication skills; will have a demonstrated ability with computers and social media; will be comfortable and active in their faith life; will be an enthusiastic and capable leader. Finally, an excellent candidate will be willing to work on a team and develop other teams within the music ministry.
