Hattie Larlham has a new opening for Music Therapist to develop and implement therapeutic musical programming with positive outcomes for persons served by Hattie Larlham and residing at the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities.

Primary job duties include 1:1 and group-based programming to allow exposure to arts, socialization, and choice making; planning and documenting music therapy sessions and events; exploring new ideas and techniques to promote independence and community integration; and regular equipment and studio maintenance.

Opening:

Music Therapist
Location: 9772 Diagonal Rd., Mantua, OH 44255
Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours / week, Monday - Friday, 9a-5:30p, flexible schedule option

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy or Equivalency Program from an AMTA approved college or university
Certification by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC)
Proficient in music and the use of music therapy tools and instruments
Proficiency in the use of various computer programs including Microsoft Office, (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and sourcing information via the internet
Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities or special needs preferred
