General Summary

Calvary Episcopal Church is seeking a Family Worship Musician to enhance our worship services through music. This role involves collaborating with the Director of Children and Family Ministries and the Rector to prepare and lead music for Sunday morning worship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music leadership, especially within a Christian context, and will demonstrate the ability to engage with children and families in a ministry setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Worship Leadership:
Collaborate with the Rector and the Director of Children and Family Ministries to select and prepare music appropriate for the worship season and Sunday services.
Conduct sound and chord checks with other musicians before each service, and lead more extensive rehearsals at least once a month.
Introduce music during services and encourage congregational participation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient in at least one musical instrument.
Experience in leading music within a Christian worship context.
Availability to work on Sunday mornings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 4 per week
