Summary:
Jim’s Music is a family-owned music store with a focus on instrument sales, repairs, lessons, and rentals. We are seeking a full-time Assistant Store Manager to help run and grow our Iron Mountain location. The right candidate will have the opportunity for promotion into store leadership and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Help customers find instruments and gear with a strong sales and customer service focus
Assist customers with lesson sign-ups, rentals, and repair intake
Learn and use our point-of-sale and inventory management system
Maintain an inviting store environment through merchadising
Answer phones and customer messages while providing excellent customer service
Support marketing and local community relationships
Eventually grow into store leadership and management responsibilities including hiring and training of store employees, inventory management, and driving sales performance

Skills/Qualifications:

Music retail or sales experience is strongly preferred - but not required for the right candidate
Excellent listening and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines
Ability to gain quick understanding of POS system and technology
Musical background or knowledge of musical instruments preferred
Interest in a long-term career in music retail and management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
